Help Desk Link at top of page

The “Help Desk” link does not work. Where did the message Icon go?

It works very well - we’ve tested it on phones, iPads, and laptops. Do you not have email setup on your phone? Regardless, help@chattanoogamarket.com is our primary support channel.

Not sure what’s happening, but I can click on the blue Help Desk link, and nothing happens. I even tried the Highlighted Help@ from your reply. nothing.. I logged out and back in, still nothing.? I have windows desk top computer.

It may very well be a windows problem – but your current system is broken for a lot of sites, not just ours. Here’s what the digital overseers suggest:

To fix Windows desktop browsers not supporting mailto links, configure default apps in Windows settings to associate mailto with your preferred email client (e.g., Outlook), and enable protocol handlers within your browser (Chrome/Edge) to prevent it from blocking the link.

Steps to Fix mailto Links:

  • Set Default Apps in Windows (Most Common Fix):

    1. Open Windows Settings (Win + I) > Apps > Default apps.

    2. Search for “MAILTO” in the search bar.

    3. Click on the current default app listed for MAILTO and change it to your preferred app (e.g., Outlook, Mail app).

  • Fix in Google Chrome:

    1. Go to chrome://settings/handlers.

    2. Ensure “Allow sites to ask to become default handlers for protocols” is toggled on.

    3. If mail.google.com is in the “Blocked” list, click the ‘X’ to remove it.

    4. Navigate to Gmail, click the Service Handler icon in the URL bar, and select “Allow”.

  • Fix in Microsoft Edge:

    1. Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions.

    2. Select Protocol handlers and remove any invalid or unwanted defaults under “Handlers for email links”.

  • Verify Handler Configuration: If you click a mailto link and nothing happens or you get a blank page, it may be because mailto is not associated with any app, requiring you to set it to an email application via the steps above.

If these methods do not work, consider updating your email client or checking for conflicting browser extensions.

Is it a desktop, or a laptop? If it’s a laptop, I’m happy to meet you at a coffee shop to help get it straightened out.

It works for us. I use Apple

No, it’s a desktop. I went through the steps you posted for windows [, didn’t come up the same way.

But I check the default in my email settings, it is correct. I’ll figure something out.

But the Message Icon I used to message the staff, is gone ?

It’s most likely an issue with your browser – a lot of people prefer Google Chrome on Windows (it’s free). Google Chrome - The Fast & Secure Web Browser Built to be Yours I know it’s a pain, but it might work better for you.

But the Message Icon I used to message the staff, is gone ?

Well that’s the thing - we don’t monitor the PMs. If you really want to message the staff, we only monitor the Help Desk (How to Contact Us).

People have been sending one of us a PM, waiting 30 seconds and then try four others, text messages to every phone number and then finally sending us an email – and it takes us collectively quite a while to sort through the mess. With over 800 emails/month, it just breaks the system.

So if you need to reach us, the Help Desk is the best way. It’s monitored the most actively, and if someone you think is the right person is having a day off or whatever – someone else can pick up the question.

Responses are a bit delayed at the moment, simply due to spring season flood of questions/interest, but we prioritize answering Help Desk questions.

Is there a phone number to call to find out about the Chattanooga market? I’ve put a couple messages out and still haven’t gotten a response. I’m new to this portal and find it hard to navigate.

I checked the Help Desk, and there are no active messages from you - the last were from December. Email to help@chattanoogamarket.com

Sorry. I am not so great at navigating this site. Maybe I didn’t send. I was accepted for the Chattanooga Market and have registered for the onboarding. I would like to try to set up for the first day but I don’t know the process. Is there still availability for the first day?
