We had a good weekend, with our annual Five Star Food Fight being held on Sunday with yours truly at this year’s emcee. (It was a lot more fun to talk than to cook or judge - judging is so hard!) Our in-house contestants were so good, each prepared very tasty and beautiful dishes. We appreciate their enthusiasm, talents and playfulness as they showcased market-sourced foods for the judges.
In the end, there can only be one winner - this year’s trophy went to Chef Cornelius Latham with the Bistro food truck. Congrats, Chef!

While the weather has been absolutely scorching in July, sales have fortunately held up nicely. As of today, our full-season reported vendor sales have surpassed $3,033,233 so far. What a nice milestone!
We also tend to watch if our sales are above or below $100k each Sunday, and happily have stayed well above that imaginary line this season. That tells me that people are definitely supporting our community, even as back-to-school shopping impacts budgets. For those who like the stats, here is the breakdown:
