Becoming a vendor

I stopped by the Help Desk this past Sunday and followed the instructions on applying.

I applied and submitted my vendor application along with the certificates but I havent heard back as of yet. Do you know how long it may take to hear back? Thank you

It depends on the available capacity within your specific product category; some items can happen relatively quickly, others can take multiple seasons before a spot opens up. It looks like you might be onsite concessions – that’s going to take a bit before space opens up, we currently tend to sellout within 24-48 hours with new events in that group.

Is there anything we can do to make it make it more likely to be chosen to be next to be approved or is it more of a next in the queue kind of a deal? ( I’m a fiber artist if that matters) and can we re apply if said changes were to be made?

No, not really. We’re close to 100% capacity during most events this season – when spaces begin to open up, we add someone new. We do not invite people to join/pay fees when we know that there isn’t going to be room for them. But attrition and normal life events do occur, so there is always a small bit of turnover.

We currently appear to be inviting someone every 1-2 weeks; that’s a pretty slow pace, considering there are hundreds on the waitlist. But the market is a bit lumpy – people drop off after their initial enthusiasm is replaced by the reality that it takes a lot of effort for anything to work, including a market booth.

The only factor which I can recommend for speeding the process up is to be terribly unique – the most unusual and uncommon your product, the better.
