New to the Collegedale Market, we were wondering if we could sell our vanilla extract there that we make. We do use this extract in a lot of our caramels and chocolates any of our treats so we thought it would be nice to actually sell the extract also. It’s just two ingredients vodka and Madagascar vanilla bean Aged for about a year. Because it does have vodka in it are we allowed to sell it at the market?
Vodka is not the issue – you will need to have a TN Department of Agriculture manufacturers permit (or at least their blessing). Food products further require product liability insurance, with us listed as a named insured. Contact the help desk (help@publicmarkets.us) for more information.
