In the event that Market management wishes to verify that a product being sold at the Market is home-grown or hand-made, vendors must be willing to facilitate a site visit to their workshop, kitchen, studio, farm, or garden at any time. We will work with you to find a suitable appointment, but may suspend your market eligibility until the site visit is complete.
To offset the cost of farm or workshop visits, we may assess a visit fee which is based on the one-way driving distance from the intended market location to the farm, workshop, and/or manufacturing facility.
This fee is usually waived for routine inspections within a 2-hour drive of the market, especially if the visit is favorable. It is guaranteed to be assessed for reinspections due to a prior rule violation.
