It’s been a while since my last Market Report — partly because things have been running smoothly, with relatively consistent sales each week.

The two Erlanger markets have been pleasant surprises this season, especially with the regular introduction of a food truck. Having something to eat always improves the mood of shoppers.

River and Chattanooga continue to remain steady, even with the brutal heat and back-to-school pressures on families. As the weather cools, I imagine we will see people begin to stay later and spend more time with us.

Oktoberfest and the holiday season are just around the corner, and we are busy working on those events. The Hooch is also an active topic of discussion, as changes to downtown parks and development zones may impair its ability to operate in Chattanooga in the future. Many conversations are taking place, and there are lots of options on the table — including relocation. It feels a bit like our recent experience with the Holiday Market.

This upcoming weekend was the surprise hit of 2023, so I’m looking forward to showcasing the local talent on our stage this Sunday. See you soon!
