I am so happy about this one. I am really loving all of our vendor profiles, I think it’s been a really great series, but today’s is so special. First of all, if you don’t know Glen then you should - he is a hoot. A tremendous personality, with a tremendously successful product - especially during Chattanooga Oktoberfest. The German-turned-Chattanoogan baker has become a centerpiece of our annual fall festival.
Which makes it so satisfying that we will be able to honor Federal Bake Shop during this year’s Oktoberfest with a massive milestone – they will be the third vendor in our history to have sold over $1 million of product sales within our pavilion walls! (Miller’s Lemonade was first, followed by Bluff View Bakery). Their sales are currently at $994k, so the timing could not be better – I think it’s a cosmic message that they will blow past our Greatest of All Time marker on the front-half of the party. That makes me so very happy!
I normally keep this a secret in order to surprise the vendor, but in this case I decide to change the tact – Glen will be the Official Pretzel King of Oktoberfest 2025! Please congratulate Glen and his team when you see him, and let the festivities begin!
