Apple, peaches, pumpkin pie
You love fall and so do I
Now that fall is on its wa-ay
Apple Fest is next Sunda- ay
I’m taking some liberties with Jay and the Techniques this time around (click here if you want to sing along). I promise it’ll make sense in a minute!
Apples first! The Apple Festival is next weekend, September 15th. As with all of our fruit festivals, we need your help to make sure the customers get their fill of apple-y goodness. Bring your finest apple-themed wares, such as apple cider, apple pies, apple scented candles, apple-shaped jewelry, applewood cutting boards, and whatever else pleases your heart of jonagold. We also want to promote what you’re selling, so be sure to send us pics and info about your creations!
This is also your time to shine in our annual Apple Festival Booth Contest. To be considered, follow the link. The categories are as follow:
Apple of My Eye - presented to the Most Creative Apple-Inspired Art or Craft
Bite at the Apple - presented to the Best Apple-Themed Food Product
How 'Bout Them Apples? - presented to the Most Festive Booth
Just like with other contests this year, winners get a $50 and a special certificate made by yours truly (and Canva).
Which leads me to peaches! We need to take a minute to talk about the Peach Festival since I was remiss in announcing the winners of this year’s booth contest. I mean, two whole months late is better than never, right? So, without further ado, your 2024 Peach Festival Winners are (drum roll, please!):
Category: Unimpeachable Taste (Best Peach-Themed Food Product)
Winner: Freaky Funnels - Peach Cobbler Funnel Cake
Category: Peachy Keen (Most “Keen” Peach-Themed Art/Craft)
Winner: Words Matter
Pretty as a Peach (Most Festive Booth Decoration)
Winner: Full Circle Candles
Congrats, guys!
And finally, pumpkin pie. Admittedly, I don’t have anything great for this one. But, it’s practically fall y’all! Pumpkin spice is in the air, and in your Starbucks cup. Let’s just take a minute to soak in temperatures under eleventy billion degrees! Oh, and to look forward to all the apple-themed excellence we’ll see next weekend!
See you Sunday!
