It was my honor on Sunday to recognize Bluff View Bakery as being only the second vendor in our history to surpass $1m in on-site sales at the Chattanooga Market. This is such a remarkable milestone, and we are proud to add their name to our list of the Greatest of All Time Vendors.
As is the case with our original GOAT (Miller’s Lemonade), Bluff View began with the Market years before we had a robust system to actually keep track of individual vendor sales - the years from 2001 to 2009 were effectively not counted. But you can only recognize that which you in-fact track, so we celebrate with the awareness that the true milestone was likely passed a couple of years back.
Bluff View first started selling at the Market in 2001, having previously only baked breads for their own restaurants. Two years later, in 2003, they expanded their footprint in the Arts District and opened the bakery to the public. Today, they are recognized as a leader in the local foods focus, and one of the finest creators of artisan breads in the region.
Our hats are off to Will and his team for their hard efforts and dedication to the market. This is truly a special occasion, and we are thrilled to be able to share such impressive successes with our community.
