A license from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture is required to transport and resell any live plant within the state of Tennessee. This includes any plant with a live root system, including:
- tomato plants
- herbs
- flowers
- nursery plants (shrubs, trees, etc)
It does not matter if you grew the plant from a seedling acquired from a licensed nursery; every agent/nursery along the way must be inspected and maintain a valid permit.
