We’re switching things up a bit while we wait for local restaurants to settle back in post COVID…We’ve decided to turn our upcoming FiveStar Food Fight (July 24) into a top tier vendor showdown! For those of you who may be new to the Market, this event typically features five top notch local chefs who compete right at the Market for our panel of judges. But, we think we probably have at least five top notch chefs right in our own backyard—in our vendor family.
**Think you have what it takes? Here’s more about the event: Join us for a live cooking competition between some of Chattanooga’s best Chefs! The FiveStar Food Fight starts when the chefs arrive early, just before the Market opens, taking time to strategically set up their cooking stations equipped with their own knives, cooking supplies…and their best game. They will shop that day at the Market for the fresh ingredients they will need to complete their main dish with a supplied stipend. We’ll provide the Chefs with a secret protein that won’t be revealed until just before the start time! From about 12:00 till 2:00pm market-goers will watch the chefs demonstrate their culinary skills using FiveStar Ranges and presenting their dishes to our panel of judges. The winner will receive a custom made trophy of art designed and crafted by Allen Hampton.
