Market Hours - Reminder

While most everyone abides by the published timelines for our Markets, there are some which do not. In short - if you do not wish to arrive on time, or leave on time, then feel free to take the entire day off and enjoy the afternoon on the couch.

  • 9:30 am : Check-in cut off. Walk-Up Vendor Booth Assignment may begin.

  • 4:00 pm : Market ends and breakdown begins

  • 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Envelope drop-off

Vendors are required to remain set up for the duration of the event, unless the event is specifically called off early by the market manager. Early breakdown is becoming a problem – it needs to stop, as it erodes the customer experience.

Moving forward, we will begin to suspend/revoke registration rights for the repeat offenders to make room for those on our waiting list.

Thanks to those who continue to keep the market a professional atmosphere and maintain the posted operating hours.

Wow! Just saw this! Glad we aren’t the only ones who have seen this. Thanks for making us aware.

Guys leaving early hurts your fellow vendors as well as yourself as it’s your business. It looks bad on your business, it affects the perception of the Chattanooga market as a whole.

Thank you to Chris, Melissa, Brandy, Sarah and Jake for all you do for this market. Let’s not tarnish the Chatt Market or ourselves going forward. Love all you guys

Thank you for that. and ditto on thanking the people who do all the hard work to provide a market.

We completely agree… and would add that no matter what kind of day we have, no matter how many times we have greeted and connected with people coming through, we have to remember that the people who stop by our booth at 5 minutes to close don’t know we are tired or what kind of day we had. To them, our booth is fresh and they deserve the same interaction and attention that the early birds do.

I may have said the same greetings 50 times that day, but the late arriving customer is hearing me for the first time… and deserves a smile and attention - not our backside as we pack early.

i would add that these markets are among the best in the nation - we have good days and bad for sure, but the Chattanooga community along with the makers, and producers are lucky to have it… It takes us all. Let’s keep it the best by doing our part! to continue to make it a success!
