V. A. 2. Chattanooga Market Setup & Breakdown

The following is a general guideline for what to expect during the typical market day. Special events may have different timelines. Expected deviations will be announced in the vendor forum; however, Market staff have the final say and can change the timeline during the event if safety or other conditions dictate.

  • 7:00 am : Season Pass Booth Setup Begins
  • 7:30 am : Barricades come up and drive-in for Season Pass holders may begin.

Vendors with season pass spaces can begin setting up inside the pavilion beginning at 7:00 am; however, barricades will not go up until 7:30 am. Be sure to check in at the front desk when it opens so that we know you are present. When unloading directly into your booth space be sure to quickly unload your items, move your vehicle, and return to complete setup. Otherwise traffic jams are likely to occur!

  • 8:00 am : Market Desk Opens and Check In begins for RSVP system vendors

All vendors can begin checking in. Vendors using the RSVP system can get their assigned booths and begin setting up.

  • 9:00 am : All vehicles must be out of the pavilion.

It is important to have vehicles out by 9:00 am as the pavilion will begin to get very crowded. At this time the market crew will begin setting up the stage and sound system, closing off the back entrance. Market staff may close the pavilion to vehicles earlier if staff believe additional vehicles would create safety issues.

  • 9:30 am : Check-in cut off. Walk-Up Vendor Booth Assignment may begin.

Any spaces that are empty after 9:30 am, including season pass booths, may be reassigned. If you are running late, you can contact Market staff and they will not reassign your space.

Walk Ups - If you did not register in advance but would like to come as a walk-up vendor you are more than welcome. Keep in mind that space is not guaranteed and you must select after everyone who registered in advance, regardless of your point standing.

  • 9:30 am : Vehicles out of the street and out of market areas. Road closes and barricades go up.
  • 10:00 am : Customers will begin to arrive.

Even though the market doesn’t officially begin until 11:00 am, customers start streaming in at around 10:00 am. For that reason, getting vehicles out of market areas by 9:30 am is important for the safety of everyone.

BREAKDOWN

  • 4:00 pm : Market ends and breakdown begins
  • 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Envelope drop-off

Vendors are required to remain set up for the duration of the event. If you completely sell out of product prior to market close, you can ask the market manager for an exception, which will be at their discretion. At this time vendors can begin breaking down their booth and can cart items out to their vehicle. If you have not yet paid your setup fees for the day you are still able to do so at the market desk.

  • 4:30 pm : Vehicles may enter the street

If you are set up on the patio or street and your booth is completely broken down and ready to load then you may enter from the Main Street side of Reggie White Boulevard and load directly into your vehicle. You should then exit the venue on the 20th street side of Reggie White so that we maintain a one way traffic pattern. **This timetable is at the managers discretion and can be pushed back depending on safety concerns.

  • 5:00 pm : Vehicles may enter the pavilion

Once the pavilion is clear enough, the market manager will allow all vendors, both season pass and RSVP, to pull into the front of the pavilion so that they can load directly into their vehicles. Vendors will be able to pull into the back of the pavilion around the same time, as soon as the stage, sound gear, and banners are moved out of the way. Be sure that your booth is completely broken down and ready to load prior to pulling your vehicle into the venue! Our primary goal is to avoid traffic jams and accidents. **This timetable is at the managers discretion and can be pushed back depending on safety concerns.

  • 6:00 pm : Sales Envelope Drop Deadline and vehicles exit the pavilion

Envelopes should be turned into the front desk prior to this deadline. At this time the market desk is broken down and put in storage.

Our long day ends and it is time for some much needed rest!!
