Market Season Report

With the last of our outdoor markets in the record books for 2022, I’m happy to share that we’ve experienced our best season ever. Sales for our Thanksgiving Market averaged $624/vendor, with 17% of the vendors selling over $1,000 on Sunday. It was a brisk day, but with happy foot traffic and heavy sales from people getting ready for the long holiday weekend. It was a great finale for a great season.

The season overall was exceptional, with year-to-date vendor sales reaching $5,287,290 thus far. By comparison, last seasons’ total sales were $5,048,596 – which included Holiday Market! We look to post another half-million during the indoor stretch, so we are really entering the final chapter in a great shape.

Holiday Market is definitely sold-out, and it’s hard saying no to the dozens of people wanting in – but once we’re out of space, we’re out of space. We also have new vendor applications currently on hold, but will be reopening those in February and anticipate significant new interest in 2023. It’s both surprising and impressive how many people want to join the Market.

There will be a lot of new information published early next year about market changes, so be sure to check the forum in February - especially if you wish to participate in River Market, which will begin in early March. Season Pass details will also be announced about that time.

Below is the full season sales report by category for 2022; how do you compare? I believe this is the first season where multiple categories broke the seven-digit barrier, a major milestone.

We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and for those of you participating in Holiday Market we will see you soon – to the rest, stay warm and enjoy the holidays.
