Thanksgiving Market, a.k.a. the last outdoor weekend of the 2024 Chattanooga Market season, is this weekend! Can you believe it?! Where has the time gone?
As we’ve announced previously, this will be the first year we’re collaborating with Ice on the Landing. Questions abound for how this load-in and set up will go. I’m here to answer what we can at this juncture. Brandy and I will be headed to the pavilion once the rink is set up, so we may have an update later in the week. Keep your eyes peeled for more!
Season Pass holders - Set up will still start at 7 am. If Chris hasn’t talked to you about being moved to accommodate the rink, we anticipate that you will get to keep your normal spot. Many of you in the move zone have already asked where you’re likely to be placed for the weekend, but if you haven’t, feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll let you know what we’re thinking. Please note, though, that we may get into the space and run into other issues on Sunday. So we ask that you be prepared to be flexible.
Also, driving in for load-in and load-out will be severely limited. Please plan to load-in from outside the pavilion. We will have some help available if you need a hand with transporting inventory. Let us know the day of the event and we’ll try to get to you as soon as possible.
RSVP/Sign Up Genius vendors - We’ll start letting you guys load in at 7:30 a.m. this weekend. Load-in procedures will be largely the same for you, though maybe a little more congested with the season pass holders also loading in from outside the pavilion. As with the season pass holders, you will also need to plan on loading out without driving into the pavilion. Let us know if you need assistance and we’ll send it your way.
If you received your acceptance email and haven’t signed up yet, you have until the end of the day (Monday, November 18, 2024) to do so. If you haven’t filled out the interest form, but are interested in the event, email us and we’ll try to get you in. Because it’s a tight turn around, though, we might not get to everyone who expresses an interest today. But we will be doing walk ups on Sunday if there are any open spaces left. Here’s a link to the walk up rules in case you need to familiarize yourself before Sunday.
For everyone - We can never guarantee electricity to any particular booth, and the electrical needs for the ice rink will take priority for this event. We want it to be this way, for the health and safety of those on the rink. This means many spaces that would ordinarily have power will be left without it this weekend. If you let us know your needs, we will try to find a booth with power - but know that it may not be possible, or it could be in a location you’re not used to.
Finally, it’s starting to feel like fall, y’all! As temperatures drop, the use of portable heating sources increases. Here’s a friendly reminder about Market heating policies.
Here’s to a fabulous end to a fabulous season! I’m definitely giving thanks this year for a great group of vendors and a remarkable Market family!
